Key factors to keep in mind and look for when choosing which window is best for your home…

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when researching your new replacement windows. A high-priced window does not guarantee energy efficiency!  Two windows can look exactly the same, except for the price tag, and still have dramatically different efficiency ratings.

If you’ve never bought a replacement window before, the two most important things to look for are the U-factor rating and the air infiltration rating.  The first affects the money you spend (and save) on your energy bill, and the second affects how comfortable you will be in your home.  These two factors will give you a very good idea whether the money you’re spending on a given window is really worth it.

The U-factor rating is typically between 1.20 and 0.20, and the lower the number the more energy efficient the window is.  Our Premium Vinyl Windows combine energy efficient glass and fiberglass filled extrusions, giving this window an exceptional U-factor rating of 0.18 – 0.26, one of the lowest in the industry.

The industry standard rating for air infiltration is 0.30 CFM (cubic feet per minute.)  Keystone’s impressive Premium Vinyl Windows, on the other hand, have a rating of only 0.10 – 0.15 CFM!  This is very good because Southeastern, Pa. is not a high wind tunnel area in general.

Now that you have a basic understanding of the two key factors that set windows apart from one another, you’re ready to start browsing.  We offer several different styles of windows to fit your preference, as well as numerous window options for each style, including interior woodgrains and unlimited interior colors.
